A-20G "Milly" of the 3rd BG. There's another name painted forward of the group emblem, but it's difficult to make out... the second word looks like a variant of "Katrina."

Gary - Even though Powerful Katrinka was assigned to the 13th Squadron initially, it ended up with either the 312th BG or 417th BG. Most of the early block A-20Gs that came to the 3rd Attack Group were dispersed to the other 2 Groups. The people posing aren't 3rd personnel. Sorry it has taken so long to get back to you. The San Diego Museum has quite an assortment of photos which have been identified by people that know far more than I do. The web site is really a place to bring as much information together and allow everyone a chance to see it. Gerry Kersey

My Dad was in the 3rd Attack Group (aka 3rd BG) as a navigator and bombardier with the 90th Squadron. 52 missions. The 3rd consisted of the 8th, 13th, 89th, and 90th Squadrons. All but the 8th flew A-20s until near the end of WW II. The 3rd was known as the Grim Reapers with the logo known as Oscar. Oscar was also the logo for the 13th as displayed on Powerful Katrinka. My Dad's leather A-2 jacket had Oscar on the left breast, and the 90th's logo "Pair-O-Dice" on the right breast. The dice showed two natural 7's and snake eyes.
