I agree. I also think the Air Force should still be a branch of the Army. "Pinks and Greens" were very striking. Today's uniforms are just really...blah. And they're all 100% polyester so, nothing drapes like this stuff did! Better looking and better made... Sigh. At that time as well, men could take regulation cloth and have it tailored into amazing adaptations of the uniform. Tailor made and cut down four pockets were the rage among the AAF officers in Europe. Can't get away with that no more in today's army of polyester digitalis.
