I believe this view is looking north from the intersection of 20th Street and Ball Ave. The buildings on the right are the (then) old and new Galveston County courthouses. Both are long since demolished. On the left side of the right-hand panel are the twin spires of St. Mary's Cathedral.

Llanrhaeadr-ym-Mochnant when the pipe carrying water from Lake Vyrnwy to Liverpool burst

Sea-swept Galveston - A once prosperous section of beautiful homes near the beach - Disaster 1900.

This view is looking north from roughly Avenue M, M 1/2 or N, between 13th and 14th Streets. The ruins at right are of the original Sacred Heart Church, on the NW corner of 13th and Broadway (Ave. J), and at left, the Walter Gresham Home, now known as the Bishop's Palace, at the NW corner of 14th and Broadway.
