Does anyone understand copyright at TWAM - great to see you releasing these images. But school children may be confused as they are taught that if there are no known copyright restrictions then the there are no known copyright restrictions. The statemement about commercial use needs fixing.

And its made in 1917 ..... In what way could you possibly have a copyright? You will confuse small children who have been taught about copyright. Can you fix it so that it appears to have some logic. If your rights are a mess - and there is no shame in that because many museums etc are confused then - admit it. I think the strong comment above implies that you think you have some rights over this image and you understanmd the legal position.

If they have the negative they have the copyright and if the copyright has been passed to them by the photographers estate the same applies.

This is the best photo I've seen of the power station at Sunderland. Thanks for sharing.

Behind the power station, it shows the complex of single story houses long gone and the "flat road" down to Anne Street from Trimdon Street.

Joe Eagle I lived there in Trimdon Street as a young whipper snapper and attended the local Simpson Street School. Happy days indeed.
