  A beautifully composed photograph. According to wikipedia, there have been eight ships named HMS Undine in the Royal Navy. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HMS_Undine The third was: "HMS Undine was a schooner, previously in civilian service as the Morna. She was purchased in 1881 and was sold in 1888." Which dates this photograph between 1881 and 1888. I know of one other photograph of HMS Undine in the Australian War Memorial's collection, photograph 302177 which has this description: SYDNEY, NSW. 1887. STARBOARD SIDE VIEW OF THE SCREW CORVETTE HMS DIAMOND IN FARM COVE. SHE IS CELEBRATING THE JUBILEE OF QUEEN VICTORIA. THE SHIPS IN THE BACKGROUND ARE, FROM LEFT TO RIGHT, THE SCREW CORVETTE HMS RAPID, THE SAILING SCHOONER HMS UNDINE, THE VICTORIAN GOVERNMENT STEAMER HMVS LADY LOCH AND THE SCREW CORVETTE HMS OPAL.
