  Can anyone make out the dates on the photo? 11/2/26 doesn't fit.

  A Ralph H. McKee was a professor of chemical engineering at Columbia University, specializing in applied organic chemistry; in 1922 he helped develop an artificial fat called "intarvin" for dietary use: www.time.com/time/magazine/article/0,9171,716396,00.html Before he landed at Columbia, he was in the research department at Tennessee Copper.

  Upper left corner: 11/6/23 and 11/5/26, both mirrored. They were likely put on file in the 1910s and used later.

  He was my grandfather. I have a similar picture of him in his lab and he is older in that picture from the late 1920's/early 1930's, so the 1910 guess could be right.
