I'm almost certain those are camellia flowers, not azaleas. We used to have both camellias and azaleas at our old FL home built in 1885.

PhotoOutpost (Rex Biggers) -- I agree -- matter-o-fact this photo is of members of the Men's Camellia Club meeting to discuss the upcoming Annual Camellia Flower Show in Pensacola, Florida ca. 1945. The Florida Memory site isn't working right now, but there are other photos of this club. The man standing, btw, is Mack Trip. This photo, btw, is a duplicate of one posted 6 years ago on this flickr site. Too bad Florida Memory didn't respond to you : (

These are Camellias, not Azaleas. This is a meeting of the Men's Camellia Club. c. 1945. The growing and grafting of camellias was a very popular activity in Pensacola with thousands of growers participating in the annual Camellia Flower Show.
