The woman on the Bain photo is not the woman mentionned in the NYT articles above. The latter was the former Madeleine McKissick (or Madeline Mc Kisick) who was married to Pedar Sather Bruguiere in 1899 already (see The San Francisco call., September 30, 1899, Page 9 chroniclingamerica.loc.gov/lccn/sn85066387/1899-09-30/ed-... ,with photo) and married Lieut. Janney in 1908 (The San Francisco call., September 15, 1908, Page 1, Col. 4 chroniclingamerica.loc.gov/lccn/sn85066387/1908-09-15/ed-...). The Mrs. Bruguiere on the Bain photo was the former Marion Andrews and was Pedar S. Bruguiere's second wife. They had a son also named Pedar, but they divorced soon (in 1906, see The San Francisco call., July 18, 1906, Page 14, col. 5 „TWICE MARRIED BUT WILL TRY AGAIN“ chroniclingamerica.loc.gov/lccn/sn85066387/1906-07-18/ed-...) . Then she had a short marriage to Stewart Denning, which was annulated and she took back her first husbands name (New-York tribune., August 30, 1912, Page 9, Col 5 „WIFE SUES DR.
