This photo appeared in the November 9, 1920, Dayton (Ohio) Daily News with the following caption: "Beverly Bayard (left) and Lorline Davis, two California girls, walked across the continent to New York and are now on their way on bicycles to Florida, and then to Cuba, where they will tour the island on their wheels. On the completion of their tour they expect to study art and journalism in New York. They were photographed at Independence Hall in Philadelphia."
