  Here he is in the 1911 census, at 67 a professor of literature at the University of Dublin. Likewise in 1901 at 57, which looks to me about his age in the photo today.

  Judging by his wikipedia bio he would like to be pictured reading Shakespeare, but I am sure it is a studio prop.
