Caption on N. Platte publication cited by B-59: "A scene outside the city prison in Ekaterinburg, Russia, where political prisoners, bolsheviki, are imprisoned. Scenes like this can be seen daily, the women bringing food and notes to the prisoners. The feeding of the prisoners has become a serious problem on account of the shortage of food In Russia."

They are bolshevik government heads who were imprisoned by the Czechs at Ekaterinburg, Russia. The four principals in the foreground are (from left to light) the secretary who promoted Bolshevik propaganda, the town commisaire and the girl stenographer, while immediately above her to the right is the chief Justice.
