Uhh, the Meuse is a river in Belgium, the Black Forest is in south-west Germany.

It's not even that. Black Forest farm houses have a very distinctive style. This one looks far more alpine.

I don't think that it is castle Alt-Eberstein because it is a ruin since the 17th century. And this one looks pretty well in 1881

@Kurt: I don't think that it is Burg Liebenzell. See this photo. It is from the wrong perspective, but while the castle here is on the top of the mountain, for Burg Liebenzell the mountain still proceeds on the right side of the white building (which here has no dark front building).
