Triberg Waterfalls – Then and Now (100+ years later)

Located in the state of Baden-Württemberg, within the famous Black Forest, the Triberg Waterfalls are among the tallest waterfalls in Germany – and are likely the most famous.

What a nice scenery, but look how empty the place seems. What a contrast to the Market Place today. Sixty years later all of those proud buildings went up in smoke during that terrible and stupid war.

"This was the hub of the city's everyday activities and was first documented as early as 1290." The spires of the old and magnificent Stiftskirche (abbey church) are visible in both photographs.
