Muito bom isso: "Pouco mudou nesta visão, exceto talvez para os sinais de trânsito." Legal as imagens. Gosto de ver o passado. Costumes, pessoas, cidades, a vida como corria solta e sem presa...😍

This is the centre of Beverley at the junction of Albert Terrace and Westwood Road, houses behind are on Newbegin which leads into the town centre.

Thanks for the update Paul, much appreciated.

Gypsy wagon circa 1900 (archive ref DDX1319-6-23)

  • Timothy Maloey said:
In ref to "Gypsy wagon circa 1900"... The word is not "Gypsy" but Roma or Romany or Romani. The words Gypsy or Gypsies are considered to be "pejorative" which means expressing contempt or disapproval. To be fair, I don't think there was any malice in the original comment but we need to be educated about certain ethnic peoples. It is a well-known fact that the Nazis heavily discriminated against certain ethnic people including the Roma People.
