    The car in the foreground is a '29 Plymouth (first year). The other one is a '30/'31 Ford.

    Junked cars 1940s style, a decade earlier it would be a junked 1918 Model T ford, before then a junked wagon cart. The fact the car is only 12 years and rusted up is a sign the quality of those cars wasn't that good.

    Pretty rough conditions. My great grandfather came to the USA from Italy and tried to make a living in Florida but moved back up to Tennessee and was able to raise tobacco there.
