Obtained her Duchess of Brunswick title by marriage on November 1, 1913. "The Kaiser's mother, the Empress Frederick, was once Colonel of the Death's Head Hussars. Princess Victoria Louise, the Crown Prince's sister, became Colonel of the regiment at the age of seventeen, a few days after her confirmation, and on that occasion the Kaiser, with his usual conception of tactless humor, distinguished himself by remarking to her English governess that, as Colonel, the Princess would ride at the head of the regiment with the army that invaded England. " www.globalsecurity.org/military/world/europe/totenkopf.htm This page has a number of pictures of her in her regimental uniform: www.wehrmacht-awards.com/forums/showthread.php?p=4408800 She had sons born in 1914 and 1915, so the baby must be en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ernest_Augustus_IV,_Prince_of_Hanover or en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prince_George_William_of_Hanover_(1915%E2%80%932006) Here is an uncropped version of this postcard. The caption on the site identifies the baby as Ernest Augustus. www.mediastorehouse.com/victoria_louise_and_son_ernest_au... Lots of photos of her here: forum.alexanderpalace.org/index.php?topic=14060.0
