Between the 1830s and 1900, they moved the drawbridge from the west bank to the east bank: maps.osi.ie/publicviewer/#V2,600451,715792,11,7 maps.osi.ie/publicviewer/#V2,600451,715792,11,9 Also interesting is that they felt the need to fortify the river with a 4-gun battery this far upstream. maps.osi.ie/publicviewer/#V2,600253,715574,11,7 (Streetview www.google.ie/maps/@53.1903356,-7.9958664,3a,75y,337.81h,...)

NIAH entry says: Round-headed door opening with spoked fanlight, sidelights and timber panelled door with pedimented porch having fluted Doric columns and dentil entablature. Mind you, it also says: Although a later addition, the elaborate Classically-styled porch enlivens the otherwise plain façade.
