Balholm now is called Balestrand while the old name still can be in use sometimes. The large building in the middle is a hotel which is still there, Kvikne Hotel. The hotel is now white coloured with a 1974 concrete hotel room structure behind.

The small buildings to the left on this photo is a prosperity called Munken, a croft by the sea. Note the vessel. It is a Sognejekt, a sail ship mostly used for carrying firewood to Bergen.
