  Typo in the "Notes", I think. Probably supposed to read 'Barnhill Studios, Asheville, NC, 1920'. Wonderful photograph! Too bad we don't know who he is--

  The Barnhill collection is at Mars Hill. They ay have subject notes there.

  On some level, to some, the picture of this estate may be remnant of Versailles. Comparing the photos, they may not exactly look the same, however, the grand lawn and the well kept lined up trees give off the same feeling of wealth and prestige.
