Was she part of the same family as John F. Kennedy?

This picture is really worth a thousand words. It tells a story of upper class society in Miss Kennedy's attire and her own dog. Even female idols of today have so called "designer dogs" like Paris Hilton's "tinkerbell."

This photograph exudes the aristocracy of society at the time. Her hat, full-length fur, and dog that she carries as an accessory familiarly channel celebrities today.

I believe her full name was Marian Kennedy. There was an article about this event (the first specialty show given by the American Pomeranian Club) in The New York Times, which took place in the sun parlor of the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel in New York City on January 10, 1911. 262 dogs took part, and the event featured many wealthy and notable personages. query.nytimes.com/gst/abstract.html?res=9B07E4DB1331E233A...

Since this at the same location as some photos of dog owners following this in the stream, it is presumably the James Mortimer who was a dog judge and was superintendent of the Westminster Kennel Club show in New York for some years.
