Roald Amundsen (1872-1928) www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q926 He will be on his way to the North Pole in a race with Byrd. He is now considered the first to both poles since Byrd's original sextant records were shown to have been erased and written over. There was skepticism of Bryd's claim almost immediately since the elapsed time would have only taken 80% of the way to the pole and back.
