Highway Post Office Bus at Strasburg, Virginia

    I became fantasized by this picture of the first Mail by Highway bus picture found in the Smithsonian Institution photo stream. I had previously taken a picture of a Post Office Highway bus at the Roanoke Transportation Museum ( www.flickr.com/photos/lynchburgvirginia/2403169609/in/set... ) which added to my interest. My colorized interpretation is below.

    Aha! The Commander in Chief in civilian attire. His pocketwatch used to follow war progress and troop positions while continuously being updated to stay informed.

    Also full beard with shaven mustache appears frequently as popular appearance of officers and soldiers alike.
