    I knew that Melbourneians had air raid practices... A sturdy table would offer some protection from debris falling, but definitely not a direct hit! It would have been tough keeping babies and toddlers still under a table if such an air raid had actually happened, it would have made such a difference to their ability to keep the children as safe as possible! A slice of life we might not think about when we reflect on WWII and life in Melbourne!
