Bombingen av Kristiansund

My mother comes from Kristiansund, born in 1940, she grew up through the occupation. I have some of my Grandfather's 35mm negatives from this period and as well as 16mm film footage of bombing aftermath and fires during the night if the Archive is interested. I believe his diaries are already in the archive. Harald Helsing. Kind regards Mark Kisby mark@kisby.net

Many Mothers in Germany lost their son's or daughters fighting for Hitler. And many of the German soldiers shot Innocent Jewish People ,young and old. They also tortured and killed many from the Soviet Union. A German Mother should hang her head in shame.

The "Mutterkreuz" was commonly also called "rabbit medal" (Kaninchenorden). It was supposed to be given to women who had given birth to at least four children. More info (albeit in German): (www.annefrankguide.net/en-US/bronnenbank.asp?aid=27226) (www.dhm.de/lemo/html/nazi/innenpolitik/mutterkreuz/)
