In Jan 1945, the 14th AF was in China - not the 7th AF. There was a Stanley A. Strout serving with the 14AF 51st FG 25th FS in Yunnanyi, China. This unit flew P-40 (1943, 1944) and P-51 (1945) fighters.

An anonymous late-model P-40 assigned to the 51st FG; the unit's three squadrons were the 16th (tail numbers 351-400), 25th (201-250) and 26th (251-300). A fourth squadron was later added, the 449th (301-350), the group's only P-38 Lightning operators.
