Caption: The mothers and children sat on the opposite side behind red and white stripped curtains to seclude them from the gaze of passerby's on this busy street, MANY OF THESE CHILDREN WERE BORN in the old dilapidated OB Ward. Their mothers will enjoy the comforts of the new ward during future confinements. The 12 private rooms for affluent women, and the large 16 bed ward have large ceiling fans above each bed, a real boon in the hot weather. Other accommodations vary according to ability to pay, but all patients receive the same loving service of Christian nurses and doctors.
