    Such a classic shot - all the elements that would make up this shot would still be there in in the same shot today. What I particularly like though is that everything man made - the bike, the car, the motorcycle, even the road surface - has moved on; and yet everything natural - the mountains, the cyclist's physique, and most notably his facial expression - would simply be unchanged.

    PhilippeF's suggestion, and note added on the image, look to be spot on. Check Google Street View and Maps - maps.google.co.uk/maps?hl=en&safe=off&client=fire... - the mountain range appears more distant in teh Street View image (wider angle lens?) but there is no mistaking the rocky ridge top-right.
