The picture shows the Fokker V 2. This was a further development of the V 1 fitted with a Daimler (Mercedes) D III water cooled engine of 160 hp. The radiator was completely enclosed, which still retains the streamline of the fuselage. This is a completely new airframe [Wrk.Nr.1539] with a higher and larger all-flying rudder and somewhat bigger wings. The V 2 was built in March / April 1917. By the way this is a Fokker factory works picture of which the glass negative still exists today in the Fokker archives, ow held in the Aviodrome museum (Lelystad, Holland).
