It was in this building that Benito Juárez promulgated laws reforming the Mexican constitution in the late 1850s. Still recognized as having been a lighthouse, the tower is now called the Faro Benito Juárez. The building is now a historical museum. Located at the foot of the Calle Benito Juárez y Morelos in downtown Veracruz. Site open, tower closed. Owner/site manager: City of Veracruz(?). ARLHS MEX-144.
