"Tunny" fishing was HUGE and fashionable off Scarborough in the 1930s. My own maternal grandfather (Colonel Henn) rates a mention in this interesting wikipedia article - en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Big-game_tunny_fishing_off_Scarborough It shouldn't be too difficult to work out the fellow's name and details from the date 17/8/1934, and the weight 756 lbs.

I remember my grandfather had a similar photo of himself proudly standing beside a similar giant fish, on prominent display in his house. As a small child I thought it frightening and very creepy!

The big game fishing season is now in full swing on the Yorkshire coast and three days ago one of the largest tunny fish ever landed was caught 30 miles off Scarborough by Lieut. A. H. Terry, R.N. ... " From - trove.nla.gov.au/newspaper/article/201812872
