Hi, we're administrators for a group called Preserving Cultural Heritage Around the World, and we'd love to have this added to the group! Dear Smithsonian Institution, The “Preserving Cultural Heritage Around the World” Flickr set asks you to share your images or create new ones that show how people in different countries preserve their cultural traditions, especially minority cultures and ethnic groups. This set will feature photos and videos sent to us in response to the query “Be proud of who you are! How do people in your country celebrate and preserve their cultural traditions?” The Flickr project is part of a special feature on America.gov – Preserving Minority Cultures -- that shows how America is enhanced by the traditions of its various immigrant and Native American communities. This reminded me of a little boy I saw at a Pow Wow. It was in the evening and he was dancing and dozing off at the same time. Even though he was going to sleep, he kept dancing. He was so cute and we were all laughing and waiting for him to fall down asleep on the grass ... but he just kept on dancing.
