This looks like what is now Agatha Goodwin Drive. This side street branches off on the left of New Gate Street when you're heading East. The Public Works Dept is now on that street.

i believe this street is temple street.building on left is now illuminat,building on right used to be st marys house now demolished.

This picture was taken at the corner of Temple and St. Mary's Street facing south. The next intersection going south would be Redcliffe Street.

Fort at Shirley's Heights (a possibility it could be Fort James). I would vote Shirley's Heights because there is a reflection of an Island in the foreground which is Dominica or Martinique if my memory serves me correctly.

Fort James I'd bet! @ Slim10 - that looks like a water mark/stain not an island. If you look closely you'll see it's almost like a circle that goes right over the water and the cannon itself! :-)

Definitely Fort James. I remember hanging out with my husband there while we were still dating and taking pics by the canons.

I am not sure this is St. John's Antigua. Sikaffy is not a business name that is familiar and there weren't any (few?) stone buildings in St. John's.
