The Sphinx at Gallipoli – Then and Now (94 years later)
Almost a century later, The Sphinx looks down on hallowed ground.
The panels along the memorial wall show maps of the campaign as well as quotes from soldiers and political leaders.“I am prepared for death and hope that God will have forgiven me all my sins.”
A large memorial cemetery[ 1 ] is also located here.
