    I worked at this Safeway in 1957 after school and on the weekends.

    There WAS a similar Safeway in the 700 blk W Grace BUT this is now Brooks Gray sign shop, 2600 block Hull St. The facade is covered with brown sheet metal but you can still tell it's the same building from the side. There was also a similar Safeway in Carytown where the McDonalds is now. It became Pier 1 in the 70's before being torn down. Pier 1 was cool in those days.
