What a lovely image! Taken, I think, on the traverser/turntable in Poplar trolleybus depot (in east London) it looks like an L3 class 1467 (FXH 467) one of the 1939 deliveries that went into service with the last big tram/trolleybus conversion in 1940. The 567 ran from Aldgate out to West Ham.

Getting an idea of operations before the T-bana opened.

As a Central Line train is shown, this shot is probably taken at White City depot.

It is grand shot of a Standard stock car - these cars formed the Central line stock for many years, many being refurbished after wartime storage for the post-war extensions of the Central line. I wonder if it may not actually be Acton Works? - I can't quite make out the out-shopping date on the cab but it may be 3/48 or 5/48, perhaps the date of the visit - and other pictures in this set such as the seat shop were also at Acton.

Even one of the BEA coaches parked up to the side. I wonder if this isn't Gillingham Street garage at Victoria?
