Another great image my friends, to take a digital stroll in a house more than one hundred years back, to sense the consciousness of this time and among the affluent. Thank you!

Here are some translated notes about the interior decorating:

"Carved dragons and snakes adorn the villa, and bold colors are used throughout the house. Carl and Calla decorated their home as it looks today. There are Primitive Norse swept furniture, textiles and paintings and everything is very well preserved. In the house's largest room, the high loft room, there are wall paintings with motifs from Edda's story (Eddans berättelse). "Peasant textiles adorn the ceilings in most rooms. The furniture with drakslingor is in oak and designed by the artist August Malmström (painter of "Grindslanten")."

How interesting. I did think the wall paintings looked like they depicted the viking era! And those amazing chairs as well, with the dragon motifs.

grytlappar: The 17 paintings around the room are made by the Swedish 19th Century artists Hanna Winge and Mårten Eskil Winge, assisted by Molly Rothlieb. They illustrate the Old Norse Saga about Sigurd Fafnesbane. The hero Sigurd kills an evil dragon by name Fafne, and so on... /Anna B.
