2nd Lieutenant Joseph L. Whitney supervises as mechanics assemble his Spad VII at Camp Pike, North Little Rock, Arkansas on April 13, 1919. Behind it is a steam roller and left a gasoline tanker. This was the Victory Loan Flying Circus, Mid-West Flight's third air show.

This is Washington Park in Milwaukee, April 18, 1919. Spad VII B1374 was flown by 1st Lieut. Frank O. Carroll for exactly one hour that day during the air show in Washington Park. The soldier standing guard was with Company G of the Wisconsin State National Guard. This was the VLFC Mid-West Flight's sixth air show of their Midwest tour.
