I was curious about the ABC Tearooms. Not a branch of the British Aerated Bread Co. chain whose tea rooms were a major feature of many towns & cities from the late Victorian era through much of the 20th century, but rather a cafe owned by a Cork businessman Alfred Cole books.google.ie/books?id=zomQAgAAQBAJ&pg=PT8&lpg=... and his family. Cole was in partnership with an Alcox & a Brown in a Cork grocery concern, thus the ABC Cafe, as we see in the French photo. In the O’Connor photo we see that it’s a tearoom - one has to suspect that the inspiration might come from the chain restaurant.

@ shieldssouth - Not my picture! Thanks due to jiulong. @ PHM - the image on the Persistent URL (Zoomify) is STILL reversed. There is a lady in a feather hat (quite OTT) holding a child with a spade on the rocks.
