    Son of W. J. and E. J. Beale, of Sturminster Newton, Dorset; husband of N. G. Beale, Butts Lawn, Brockenhurst, Hants.

    Stanley was a grocer's assistant in 1911, his father was a blacksmith. Tragically, he married Nellie Tuck between Mar-June 1916 and was killed a month later.

    Nellie Georgina remarried in 1922 and died in 1953. She had been a scullery maid and a cook. I hope she found some happiness in her second marriage after such a tragic end to her first one.

    Second Lieutenant Bret Hercules Barnett was the son of son of Frederick S. and Dora Barnett. He is commemorated amongst the missing on the Menin Gate at Ypres on Panel 6 and 8. 11th (Service) Battalion Royal Fusiliers landed at Boulogne in July 1915 as part of 54th Brigade, 18th (Eastern) Division. 11th Battalion Royal Fusiliers suffered heavy casualties on 10th August 1917 in the capture of Westhoek and Westhoek Ridge one of the actions that constituted the 3rd Battle of Ypres.
