"Fr John Furlong became Prior again in 1879 and, yielding to pressure from the local people, he decided to build a new college on the site beside the Augustinian church. The inscription says "Dr. Alexander Hamilton / Great Grandson of A. Hamilton /of Woodbury Conn."

This is the same parish in which Dr. Samuel Seabury was elected the first bishop of the Episcopal Church in America. Having completed the course at the Theological Seminary, he was ordained in 1870. Rev Henry Marshall Scott died 1 March 1939 at Robin Hood, St John Vicarage, Kingston Vale, Surrey. Probate granted to Mary Adelaide Scott. Estate valued at £14,913.

1911 census shows him aged 40. He had been married to Mary Adelaide for 9 years and they had no children. He was born in Ravensdale, Co Louth, Ireland.

Irish Births and Baptisms index show that he was born 12 Mar 1871, son of James R Scott and Helen Marshall.
