At the Santa Fe R.R. tie plant, Albuquerque, N[ew] Mex[ico]. The ties made of pine and fir, are seasoned for eight months. thanx for the info. when I lived there from '78 to '89, people in rural areas were still drinking from wells. run off from construction was also responsible for the health problems.
