Hans von Minning, 15 years, mascot of German Reg't (LOC)

The correct spelling might be Mining: de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mining I can't find a noble house von Minning or von Minning (other than a kennel of German shepherds), so it might just denote that little Hans came from Mining, a small town near Braunau in Upper Austria.

Prince Louis Ferdinand (Germ.) [Germany] (LOC)

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Louis_Ferdinand,_Prince_of_Prussia "Louis Ferdinand Victor Edward Albert Michael Hubert, Prince of Prussia (German: Ludwig Ferdinand Viktor Eduard Albert Michael Hubertus Prinz von Preußen; 9 November 1907 – 26 September 1994) was a member of the royal House of Hohenzollern and pretender to the abolished German throne. He was also noteworthy as a staunch opponent of the Nazi Party, a businessman, and a patron of the arts."
