    Definitely not taken from Posillipo Hill. The camera had to be closer to the city, and on a different line. Here is a photo that I took from Posillipo in 1963, looking across the bay to Naples. I stayed with a friend who had an apartment in a former villa. Vesuvius was to the right of this photo, and was the subject of a separate photo.

    Roger W I live in Naples from 1972 :) Posillipo hill extends over 5km from NE to SW. The photo was taken on the NE edge, where the Posillipo hill meets the Vomero.

    It looks like the view from the end of Via Manzoni, past where the American high school Forrest Sherman used to be. I went there from 1974 to 1978. Although, good chance I'm wrong too.
