  Woodrow Wilson was Governor (i.e. "Gov" ) of New Jersey before he was elected president in 1912. Was he also "Coy", as in "shy, demure, or devious",??? well perhaps... Ellen Axson Wilson was Wilson's first wife (until her death). en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ellen_Axson_Wilson Gov. William Hodges Mann of Virginia was actually a Confederate soldier earlier in his life.
