USS Wolverine was never in California. She was a converted freshwater steamer used to train Naval aviators on the Great Lakes during WWII. She and her sister training carrier were decommissioned right after the war and scrapped in 1947. See en.wikipedia.org/wiki/USS_Wolverine_(IX-64)

De uitvinding werd getest in droogmakerij Bleiswijk in 1775-1776. Er werd een jaar lang met 4 molens , 2 standaard scheprad en 2 met hellend rad, meer dan 160 proeven gedaan , de uitkomst was licht in het voordeel van hellend scheprad .
