If there is no known restrictions on publication, then why can't I send this photo to my printer. Nice picture though. I have never been to this place, though wouldn't it be neat to have a time machine and go for a walk around with shorts and a t-shirt, earphones and an mp3 player, modern sneakers on. The extremely overdressed people of 1910 would probably call for a police officer to arrest the near naked person wearing one layer of clothing (bare arms and legs!) instead of a monstrous dress and breath taking corset, or a t-shirt, dress shirt, vest, suit coat and top hat that the ultra uptight people of 100 years ago wore to hide themselves...how did the human race not grind to a halt with people so uptight about bare anything? I'd love to know how such prudish behavior became the normal way to dress. Just the same, I'm glad we don't dress in four layers of hot dark colored wool clothing as summer day acceptable attire...

goss.derek: You should be able to print this image (as well as download it to your own computer). If you are still having trouble printing from this Flickr record, you could try printing this photograph from the Library of Congress website in the Prints and Photographs Online Catalog. Here is a direct link which may help (and is the same as the Persistent URL in the Flickr record above): loc.gov/pictures/resource/ggbain.09490/

Love the long, narrow boxes in the Ferris wheel.

Wonderful, thank you for sharing. Photo is taken looking south east, with Lake Michigan beyond the hazy horizon. Brooklyn's shot is farther back and more broadside, but taken in the same general direction, south-southeast.

What a wonderful shot. Those riding compartments look like they might be about the size of my apartment.

For those familiar with the University of Chicago, this view would be close to the corner of 59th Street and Ellis Avenue, somewhere around the Classics Building, looking east, southeast.
