Gustav Krupp von Bohlen und Halbach en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gustav_Krupp_von_Bohlen_und_Halbach
Gustav Krupp von Bohlen und Halbach was born Gustav von Bohlen und Halbach. He married Bertha Krupp in October 1906. He lead Krupp heavy industries until early WWII, Read the Arms of Krupp for an extensive history of the family and company.
Two interesting things about his name. Firstly, Krupp, although more important in the economic sense, is first, because the highest title name generally goes last, in this case the noble "von". Second, the Kaiser announced at the wedding he would be allowed to add the Krupp name to his own, indicating the prominence the Krupp name had achieved already. -

The Krupp family, including Gustav & Bertha, was the subject of a 2009 miniseries on German TV, "Krupp, a German Family."
Von Bohlen was a diplomat before the Kaiser arranged that he marry Bertha and take control of the company (which celebrates its 200th anniversary in 2012). www.deutsche-gesellschaft-fuer-ordenskunde.de/vereinsmaga... has an article (in German) that focuses on his many decorations and a piece of jewellery made of miniatures of the medals. It includes a 1910 picture of him in the dress uniform of the "Leib-
Garde-Husaren-Regiments" -- Lifeguard Hussars. This is probably the regimental headgear of the same regiment. -

Thanks for sending us the matching postcard image to the Bain photograph. We are finding that many of the Bain images of royalty were copied from postcards like this one. Often the Bain images are cropped, so it is always good to see the original image with its additional caption and details.
