Naëmah Beer-Hofmann (* 20.12.1898), daughter of Richard and Paula Beer-Hofmann (www.univie.ac.at/biografiA/daten/text/bio/beer-hof.htm) Anitta Müller-Cohen (* 6.6.1890): Nach Ausbruch des Ersten Weltkriegs gründete sie die „Soziale Hilfsgemeinschaft Anitta Müller". Im Rahmen dieser Organisation half sie in den folgenden Jahren Tausenden, vor allem jüdischen Flüchtlingen durch die Errichtung von Tee- und Suppenanstalten, Fürsorgeeinrichtungen für Mütter und Kinder, etc. Bald avancierte die „Soziale Hilfsgemeinschaft" zu einer der größten privaten jüdischen Hilfsorganisationen Wiens. In diesen Jahren wurde Anitta Müller-Cohen auch Zionistin, betätigte sich politisch und arbeitete als Journalistin Sie engagierte sich in der Jüdischnationalen Partei, war 1918/19 Abgeordnete zum Wiener Gemeinderat und schrieb zahlreiche Artikel in jüdischen sowie nichtjüdischen Zeitungen. Seit November 1918 arbeitete sie auch als Leiterin des Sozialressorts im „Jüdischen Nationalrat für Deutsch-Österreich", der sich als nationale Vertretungsbehörde aller Juden in Österreich verstand. Anitta Müller-Cohen organisierte im Rahmen des Jüdischen Nationalrates und ihrer Sozialen Hilfsgemeinschaft umfangreiche Hilfstätigkeiten. So arbeitete sie auch mit dem American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee zusammen
