Soon after leaving LGA in June 1946 N88858 lost its burning #4 engine and belly-landed at Willimantic CT. On 30 July it returned to BUR with three engines (MTOW 73000 lb).

    Lockheed C-69 Constellation.
Correction (9-Aug-2024) - See comment by f104_zipper below. USAAF Serial No. 43-10311, c/n 049-1963. As per the Joe Baugher site, subsequently re-registered as N67952. Repurchased by Lockheed and [sold] to Capital Airlines, Sep 9, 1950, as 'Capitaliner Freedom'. Sold to Modern Air Transport Sep 25, 1961.

I believe this is actually C-69 43-10311, Lockheed serial number 1963. After USAAC/USAF service, went to Capital Airlines and was broken up in 1965.
