en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ernest_Augustus_III,_Duke_of_Brunswick I think this is him. Seems there is a long line of Ernest Augusts. Including a grandson still around today. Ernest Augustus (Ernest Augustus Christian George; German: Ernst August Christian Georg; 17 November 1887 – 30 January 1953), reigning Duke of Brunswick (2 November 1913 – 8 November 1918), was a grandson of George V, whom the Prussians deposed in 1866. The last reigning monarch of the House of Hanover, Ernest Augustus was a direct descendant of Henry the Lion. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Princess_Viktoria_Luise_of_Prussia Princess Victoria Louise of Prussia, Duchess of Brunswick (Victoria Louise Adelaide Matilda Charlotte; German: Viktoria Luise Adelheid Mathilde Charlotte; 13 September 1892 – 11 December 1980) was the only daughter and the seventh child of William II, German Emperor and Empress Augusta Victoria – at the time of her death, she was their last surviving child. Princess Victoria Louise is the maternal grandmother of Queen Sophie of Spain and the former King Constantine II of the Hellenes.

Caption on photo reads: "Prince Ernst August, Duke of Brunswick, and his bride Princess Victoria Louise of Prussia, and Prince Oskar" Princess Victoria Louise and Prince Ernst August were married in Berlin in May 1913; King George V and Tsar Nicholas both attended the wedding, one of the last big "family" affairs of European royalty before WWI.

Forget the historical relevance -- look at her fabulous outfit! And is that a purse she's carrying?
